Subject: NCREE controls & software items

Guys,
I was going back through some of my notes from the meeting with the NCREE folks from back in Sept. There were several things that I had written down in the review meeting that I realized I had never distributed to you. Here is a listing of the items from my notes.
1.. Units - request confirmation on the linear displacement, angular displacement, pressure, force, moments, linear velocity, rotational velocity, acceleration, temp, etc for use on the system (I will send a note to NCREE on this)
2.. Discussed reviewing the naming convention for the actuator signals on the system (based on my notes there was confusion on our part regarding the naming convention for the Pavia system).
3.. An issue was raised regarding differences in the force feedback transducers for the longitudinal actuators - in some cases these will be load cell feedbacks, and in some cases delta P's (the concern was how to handle these differing signals in the coordinate transform for the long acts on the system)
4.. Discussed adding another column under the digital readout panel (24 values as opposed to 16)
5.. Digital I/O map - can this be shown under a user accessible screen? (I can't recall if this was just a listing of the inputs and outputs and where they are tied into the controls because of the large amount of I/O on the system)
6.. Discussed the modification to the Flextest system to make this the dual boot/ STS system - need to confirm how many channels the existing FT has and the conditioners and device info that is to be mapped in our STS software (I will request this from NCREE).
7.. Discussed that MTS needs to configure the Scramnet mapping such that the address locations for the STS (FlexTest) and the MATS system locations are not the same.
8.. Longitudinal actuator discussion - MTS to provide a description of the table.dat file (commented version) so the customer knows what the parameters are to change if they change long actuator configs.
9.. Longitudinal actuator discussion - MTS is to provide a geometry definition for the 6 long actuator configs that we have been asked to accommodate to date.
Do either of you have any additional items or recollections that I need to clarify or advise the customer of for this system? If you have anything please let me know.

I would like to get the controller and the software ready to ship to Taiwan by the mid Dec time frame for the system.
Let me know if you see any problems with having the hardware and software ready by then.

Thanks,
Marty
